I started dating in October of 2024 and met Katie and she is amazing. We moved in together in November 2025.

I am writing this in February 2026. It's been just over two years since the surgery, and my physical recovery has been pretty good. I had a couple of grand mal seizures during the summer of 2025, and that was very scary. One of them was right before I was supposed to go to Burning Man, and that was a major blow emotionally.

I've found a new neurologist and she's been working with me on finding the right dosage and mix of anti-seizure medications. In addition to the grand mal or tonic/clonic seizures (these are the kind you might picture in your head when you think of the word seizure - muscles clenched, writhing on the floor), I've also had ongoing petit mal or absence seizures, which I've learned are the name for the things that affect my memory.

I was recently interviewed for the Rewired Minds Podcast about my brain tumor experience. As of February 2026, my episode hadn't been published yet, but I'm looking forward to see what it is like. I've certainly enjoyed hearing from other brain tumor survivors and the people who care for them.
